Priority Projects
TFCM has various ongoing infrastructure projects and the need to support with basic practical needs. These are constantly being reviewed, and money is allocated when possible to support with the most urgent needs. Examples in the past include: supplying better school equipment- such as computers, school desks and chairs, enhancing our school/ orphanage security through installing CCTV & installing new boundary walls, providing electricity and water supplies to various buildings and supporting our orphanage with new facilities, such as beds and mattresses.
All general donations made to TFCM will continue to support TFCM’s vision for transforming lives in the communities we work in, and also help build towards a better future by enabling us to supply our sponsored children with the key resources that they need whilst at school.
FOOD relief fund
Another example of past support that we provided through our general funds was throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, where we supported many vulnerable children, their families and the extended communities in which we operated in at the time. Due to the pandemic and the resulting lockdowns, life was extremely difficult. Many children had been out of schooling for 2 years, and any little income earnt by their extended families had been dramatically reduced. Our mission was to prevent starvation during this difficult time.
Ongoing general donations given to TFCM, helped us to navigate around this. Thankfully, for many of us in the UK, the ability to buy essential food is possible. Unfortunately, food poverty is an ongoing daily battle in Uganda, not just during a pandemic. High priority cases are highlighted to us by our partners regularly, and essential support and food can be organised by our teams or through the local church networks that we have in Uganda.
General funds are vital to our provision for these families.
Many thanks for your life saving generosity.
